MEET (Mission: Engagement and Education for Tomorrow)

MEET (Mission: Engagement and Education for Tomorrow) is a project funded by the European Union, involving the Universities of Milan. The project targets citizens, city users, and the academic community of Milan, offering tools and opportunities for dialogue on the major societal challenges currently being addressed by scientific research.

MEET consists of two main programs that take place over the 2024-2026 period, each with a specific and complementary objective.

MEETmeTonight is part of the initiatives organized during the European Researchers’ Night and consists of two days of events involving citizens and researchers. This format provides an overview of Milan’s academic excellence, fostering opportunities for dialogue and exchange.

The video coverage of the 2024 edition is available at this link. You can learn more about the upcoming edition here (in Italian).

MEETme@School

MEETme@School, the second program, is aimed at primary and secondary schools in the Lombardy region and includes direct workshops between students, teachers, researchers, and educators. Through citizen science activities, the project promotes a research-oriented teaching approach and a more inclusive view of science. To learn more, visit the dedicated section (in Italian).

Through its activities, MEET aims to support a more responsible and participatory model of research and innovation, capable of integrating scientific questions with the desires and concerns of citizens.

MEET is funded under the Horizon Europe – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) program, within the MSCA and Citizens action, which supports the organization of events to foster dialogue between research and citizens.
